“There’s no strangers here; Just friends who’ve not yet met.”

– William Butler Yeats

So you’re getting engaged or getting married? How exciting! It’s time to plan your once in a lifetime wedding day and you want all this to be captured so you can look back and relive the momentous occasion as if it only happened yesterday.

So how can you build up a rapport with the wedding photographer that you have put faith in to capture your love story together?

Getting to know you as a couple is a priority for me. So relax, you’re in safe hands, let’s meet up and start at the beginning.

Why an engagement / pre-wedding couple shoot is, from behind my lens, the way to go.

This is also the reason I’m currently including a free pre-wedding photo shoot so we can get acquainted. You can get used to being in front of the camera and feel comfortable with me capturing you together as a couple. We’ll have lots of fun and spend some time creating some awesome natural relaxed pictures. This is a great way to build up a relationship with your wedding photographer before the big day. I feel this will ensure your wedding day photography will benefit so much as we’ll build up a connection so there’s no awkwardness on your big day!

Here is a small selection of images from one of my bride and groom’s pre-wedding shoot and their wonderful wedding day at Tanfield House. Because we had chatted and got to know each other through their consultation, followed by their pre-wedding shoot, we were so relaxed on their wedding day and blended in like one of their party. I even had the pleasure of accepting an invitation to dance from the bride’s grandad 😊
