Well, what a year that’s been! With all my 2020 brides moving to 2021 and 2022, let’s hope we will soon be reaching into our jacket pocket when we return to normality and are once again allowed to go out and about and wonder what it is that’s tangling itself between our fingers. On further inspection we’ll realise it’s a mask from way back when, when COVID ruled our lives, when the world almost stood still.

With couples gaining confidence and wedding bookings picking back up it feels like life may finally be returning to normal 🤞🏻. There appears to be hope once again and we are all starting to see a flickering light at the end of the tunnel.

I did receive a gift on Christmas Day that gave me pause for thought. A Christmas face mask, embroidered with the words ‘Merry Christmas’. Obviously there was no need to wear that mask over the festive period having only been surrounded by my own household, so it remained in the cellophane. As I packed Christmas away after new year, I came across it again and hoped it wouldn’t come in handy the following Christmas. I wondered if I could adapt it and make a hat for the dog!

Couple close after rearranging COVID wedding day

The show must go on!

This pandemic has been devastating for so many people and my heart went out to all my couples rearranging what should have been one of the happiest days of their love story together. Watching all their best made plans unravel in front of their eyes must have been soul destroying, but unfortunately the show just couldn’t go on.

We’ve had to follow the rules and soldier on to protect, for the most part, our older generation so when your weddings go ahead no one is missing, And your day is going to be bigger and better than ever. A huge explosion of utter joy as you are once again reunited with all your loved ones. My focus when photographing your wedding won’t only be on the two of you coming together as one, but all of you celebrating being joined together again and I can’t wait.

Being a fun, creative documentary wedding photographer, I aim to capture real moments and emotions from your wedding day so know that when your plans all gel back together, it’s going to be a momentous occasion and more spectacular than ever! All the special people in your lives coming together to be part of your wonderful wedding day – it’s going to be amazing! If I’m lucky enough to document your big day you can be sure I’ll be getting all the hugs and laughs, and possibly a few happy tears, and these images will be there for you to look back on and cherish for the rest of your lives.

Your day is going to be bigger and better than ever.

We aim to blend into your wedding day, capturing moments that you weren’t even aware happened, so that you can relax, enjoy, and live the moments knowing they are being captured.

“We didn’t realise we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun!”

– A.A. Milne.

After rearranging dates, venues and suppliers, having to change suppliers as they’ve double booked, and even venues, it’s been utter chaos all round. However, it’s now March 2021, and it finally looks like we’re getting this show back on the road. I have to admit, I’ve been lucky so far and been able to accommodate all my new dates, but it has probably helped as I only photograph a limited number of weddings every year so I can dedicate more time into getting to know you as a couple.

“Time to drink champagne and dance on the table!”

To help out during this crazy time, I’m offering all my existing couples and future bookings being taken in 2021 an optional free couple shoot before your big day, which is valued at £250. The complimentary shoot will include fully professionally edited digital images in my signature style.

If you think I may be the best wedding photographer to capture you and your beautiful wedding day, I’m happy to chat – it’s going to be superb!
